Marzio Domenico Galeotti

Marzio Domenico Galeotti is Professor of Economics at the University of Milan where he teaches Microeconomics and Environmental and Energy Economics. He graduated from the Bocconi University and holds a M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University.

Marzio is deputy director and senior research fellow at the Center for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy (IEFE) at the Bocconi University. He is a member of the editorial board of LaVoce.info, an associate editor of Energy Economics, and a member of the scientific committee of Il Giornale degli Economisti, of Ambienta sgr, and of the CFS - Centro per un Futuro Sostenibile, and a member of the steering committee of Glocus. He has been Expert Reviewer of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Third and Fourth Assessment Reports for Working Group III on Mitigation and has been member of the Italian delegation at the 9th Session of IPCC Working Group III (Mitigation) April 30 – May 3 2007 and 26th Session of IPCC May 4 2007, Bangkok, Thailand. Previously he was the coordinator of the Climate Change Modelling and Policy research program of the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei in Milan.

Marzio has published extensively in scholarly journals and actively participates to the policy debate through media interviews, comments and articles in newspapers and magazines and speeches and presentations in non-academic public events.
