Paola Bonomo

Paola BonomoPaola Bonomo is an independent Board member, angel investor, and advisor in the technology space with over 20 years professional experience in various corporate management roles and in management consulting. She serves on the Board of Directors of Piquadro S.p.A., a premium brand specializing in business and travel bags and accessories characterized by their focus on Italian design, comfort and technology; within this Board she heads the Compensation and Nominations Committee. She is also a non-executive Director to the Board of MoneyFarm SIM S.p.A., a VC-funded start-up in the financial services industry offering independent algorithm-based portfolio allocation advice to retail investors based on their individual risk profiles. Since 2009, she has participated in Italian Angels for Growth, Italy's most prominent angel group, where she focuses on screening investments and supporting entrepreneurs in the Internet space.

Paola Bonomo worked at Vodafone Italy as Head of Online Services, Commercial Operations for three years. Previously, she was Vice President, Online Business Unit at the Publishing division of Il Sole 24 Ore, Italy's leading financial newspaper. She spent four years at eBay International, first as Marketing and Advertising Director for Italy, and later in the European leadership team. For the first 12 years of her career, Paola worked at McKinsey & Company, where she served the top management of leading Italian and multinational companies on strategic positioning, growth, new markets, alliances and acquisitions. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.

Paola's current non-profit commitments are as President of the Stanford Club Italia, the local chapter of Stanford University alumni (having served as a Board member since 2005), and as a Board member at the Fondazione Cineteca Italiana, a foundation dedicated to preserving our film heritage, restoring historical film artifacts, and promoting cinematographic culture.
