Anna Scavuzzo

Vice Mayor, City of Milan

Anna Scavuzzo was born in 1976 and has a degree in Physics.

Anna has worked in applied information technologies – virtual communities, internet access to government, distance learning – in a foundation and in a large publishing group.

Anna has also worked as a lecturer in a primary school of Catholic inspiration; she later obtained the SILSIS qualification, has taught Physics in various higher education institutes in Milan and in the greater metropolitan area.

Growing up in the AGESCI scout environment, Anna has dedicated an important part of her commitment to volunteer work in Italy and abroad.

Anna is currently Vice Mayor and Councilor for Security of the City of Milan. She lives in the Lambrate area with her husband Stefano.

Responsabilities:

• Definition of policies for local police and security activities
• Definition of policies for civil protection activities
• Relations with religious communities
• Implementation of the program
• Relations with the city council
• Youth policies
• Coordination of activities related to food policy, in agreement with the councilors responsible for specific projects
• Management of large events on the basis of the delegation conferred
• Relations with the municipalities on the basis of the delegation conferred
