Christopher Emsden

Christopher Emsden worked for more than two decades as a journalist for U.S. and U.K. publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and The Economist Intelligence Unit. He trained as an anthropologist and is interested in social, economic, financial, monetary and labor policies, and how they interact with the media, affect larger cultural landscapes and influence social cohesion. He grew up in rural Colorado and goes back there whenever he can.

He is currently head of strategic communications at Policy Sonar, a Rome-based consultancy specializing in political risk analysis.
