James Hansen
James Hansen is a former diplomat and journalist. After serving in the American Foreign Service in various capacities, he was posted to the U.S. Consulate General in Naples as Vice-Consul. Remaining in Italy as a correspondent for, among others, the International Herald Tribune and the Daily Telegraph, he later became spokesman for some of the country's best known business figures, including Carlo De Benedetti and Silvio Berlusconi. More recently he acted as Chief of Press of Telecom Italia. Today he is President of a Milan-based consulting firm, Hansen Worldwide, which advises leading Italian industrial groups on their international relations. He has edited the geopolitical review EAST and today directs the widely-read Nota Diplomatica, which appears weekly.
