Lee (Kirkpatrick) Smith is Global Director, Retail and Shopper at TNS, a leading market research and market information group. TNS (Taylor Nelson Sofres) is part of Kantar, one of the world's largest insight, information and consultancy groups.
Lee is a shopper insights specialist with over 15 years of experience in shopper and retail research in the US, Asia and Europe. She focuses on retailers and Fast Moving Consumer Goods FMCG: she's been watching people shop since 1994. She helps clients understand how people use a space, move through stores and decide on produts to purchase.
As part of a team of 3 people, Lee oversees the Retail & Shopper Practice Area for TNS worldwide. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring consistent and best practices in TNS companies across the world
- Providing training and thought leadership
- Working with clients to develop and roll out custom global shopper research frameworks
